There’s something about airplanes and flying that thrills me, but seeing someone else discover this thrill is even more gratifying.
I am a graduate of Moody Aviation in Elizabethton, Tennessee. I am certified by the FAA as a commercial pilot, flight and instrument instructor, and aircraft mechanic. My training focused on “bush” and mountain flying in remote areas.
Before moving to Alaska, I had the privilege of teaching and supervising the Watauga Eagle Squadron program in Carter County, Tennessee.
I have a special interest in seeing youth set a positive course for their lives, staying clear of drugs and alcohol. I see aviation education as a powerful tool towards this goal.
